Fire crews tackle third blaze at pub

More than 20 firefighters battled to save a closed down Shropshire pub for over two hours after a blaze broke out at the property in the early hours of today.
It is the third time there has been a fire at The Severn Apprentice in Coton Hill, Shrewsbury, in the last six weeks. They are being investigated, but Shropshire Fire Service said the cause of today’s fire was unknown.
Fire investigators were expected to return to the scene today to begin their probe.
A spokesman for the fire service said crews were called to the scene at about 3.55am.

It upsets me to see the pictures of The London Apprentice (as I knew it) I spent many happy years there. It is such a shame to see this happen. I just wish they would knock it down now. It used to be such a lovely pub and I have so many good memories and now it’s ruined.
