Region’s beauty set to score on soccer show

Miss Shropshire Kerry Price will be swopping the beauty game for the beautiful game this weekend when she appears on a popular TV sports show.

Kerry, 23, will feature on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM as a Soccerette.

The role sees a different girl each week acting as a glamorous mascot for her favourite football team and being interviewed by the programme’s hosts Helen Chamberlain and Max Rushden.

“I will be wearing a Shrewsbury Town shirt and answering questions on the team” said Kerry, of Belvidere, Shrewsbury.

“I was watching the programme and I thought it would be fun, so I applied for it and got sent a load of questions to answer.

“I did that and they said, Would you be interested in coming in?”

Kerry, who retains the Miss Shropshire title until March, said although she had been on TV at the Miss England finals, this would be her first time being interviewed in a studio.

She said: “It will be very nerve-wracking.

“I will have to think before I speak,” she added.

Soccer AM is on Sky Sports 1 this Saturday from 9am.
