Cyclist, 18, killed in collision named

A cyclist who died after he was involved in a collision with a car on a rural Shropshire road was Darren Rhys Frost, of Caernarfon in Wales.
Mr Frost suffered multiple injuries in the collision which happened along a stretch of the B4386 between Yockleton and Westbury on Boxing Day.
The 18-year-old was given emergency treatment at the scene before being taken by ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
An inquest on Mr Frost was opened before Mr John Ellery, coroner for Mid and North Shropshire, at the RSH yesterday. It was adjourned for a date to be fixed. Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.
