Bowls league meeting is called-off

Tonight’s management committee meeting of the Worthington Mid Shropshire Bowls League has been cancelled due to the icy conditions and today’s forecast of snow.
The decision was taken early by chairman Dennis Lewis to avoid a repeat of last year’s fiasco when the county association’s AGM went ahead in Shrewsbury with few able to travel due to heavy snow.
But Mr Lewis is confident that Mid Shropshire’s annual dinner, on Saturday night at St Georges Sports & Social Club in Telford, will go ahead.
