Teenage pair net style accolade

SD3373337@LA31FACE 8Shropshire teenagers Lauren Bason and Nat Blackbourn were today unveiled as the county’s Faces of the Future for 2010.

The pair can look forward to an exciting new year after clinching the top spots in the fourth annual search for a style star.

Lauren, of Shifnal, and Nat, from Shrewsbury, impressed the judges with their professional attitude and positive outlook as they took part in an eveningwear photoshoot at Haughton Hall Hotel in Shifnal for the Shropshire Star.

They will carry out personal appearances at Telford Shopping Centre over the next year and have both won £150 to spend at stores in the centre.

Nat, a student at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, said he was thrilled to be named the first male Face of the Future. “It is such a prestigious honour and I am very much looking forward to my year in the role,” the 16-year-old added.

Lauren, 18, said she was also delighted and was ready to give 110 per cent to be a great Face of the Future for 2010. “I was really surprised because the competition was very strong.”

Tracy Hadley, of Telford Shopping Centre, which organises the competition with the Shropshire Star, said they were looking forward to a very productive year working with Nat and Lauren.

The pair’s first promotional appearance will be to open the Telford Wedding Exhibition on January 18.
