Fifteen police officers swooped on the property in Arleston Hill, Telford, at about 9am yesterday.

Telford police spokesman Chris Ammonds said officers conducted a thorough search of the house, outbuildings and vehicles following the execution of the warrant.

He said police acted after receiving information from the public.

“Drugs paraphernalia and growing equipment was found and taken away from the address, along with around 50 cannabis plants,” Mr Ammonds added.

“We are really grateful to the local public for the information provided in this case and would urge anyone who has suspicions about drug-related activity to report it to police so we can investigate it fully.”

Two people have been arrested by police on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. They have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone with information on drug-related activity is urged to call police on 0300 333 3000 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
