Two treated in hospital after crash
Wednesday 30th December 2009, 12:49PM GMT.
Two people were taken to hospital and a main road into Shrewsbury was closed after a collision involving a lorry today.
The collision, which also involved another vehicle, happened along the A5 near Bicton at about 12.45pm.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said the crash had happened between the Edgebold and Woodcote Islands.
He said the road had been closed by police because of a large diesel spillage but the people involved were believed to have suffered only minor injuries.
