Boiler problem closes pool

A Shropshire swimming pool has been forced to shut because of a boiler malfunction during the cold snap.
Market Drayton Swimming Centre had to be closed to the public yesterday and remained closed today.
A spokesman for Shropshire Council said today: “Staff at the centre are working to fix the problem, but the pool has had to be closed. We are hoping the problem will be fixed today but should know a little bit more by the end of play today.”
Customers are advised to call the centre on (01630) 655177 before visiting.
