This little princess was looking pretty in pink when she celebrated her birthday in style with a trip to a Shropshire theatre in a limousine.

Holly Ashley, from Ludlow, went on the trip with her mum, Fiona, grandmother, Hilary Marks, and her best friend, Cerys Kenhard, to celebrate her 10th birthday on Boxing Day.

The St Laurence’s Primary School pupil was also joined by her younger brother, Camaron, and two other friends, Adam Everall and Yasmin Evans.

The family, who live in Blashfield Road, went to the theatre in Telford where they saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarves before coming home again in the pink limousine.

“I wanted something special and Holly has been in a limo before when she was a bridesmaid and she absolutely loved it,”said mum, Fiona Ashley-Williams.

“We do try to separate Holly’s birthday and Christmas and I try and make a difference for her. We have the dining room decorated with a theme for her birthday to try to make it different.”

When the limousine picked the group up they went to McDonald’s for some food and Holly was given a birthday cake with 10 candles and some balloons.

Her mother also arranged for Holly to have a mention during the show. She said: “She was really excited by it.”

Holly is the not only one in her family to have a birthday close to Christmas. Miss Ashley-Williams said: “Her grandmother’s birthday is towards the end of January. She came along with us and really enjoyed it.”

She said she decided on an extra-special treat for her Holly’s birthday as a reward for working hard at school.

Miss Ashley-Williams said: “She’s got really good marks and she is in the orchestra and choir. She plays the cello, the violin and the recorder. I’m really proud of her.”

Last year, Holly’s birthday trip was a visit to see High School Musical 2 at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham.

So…is this a relative of someone on the Shropshire Star editorial staff? Can someone point out the news content here because I don’t see it. I mean, Happy Birthday and everything, but I didn’t make the newspaper last year, and I had a cake shaped like a pirate ship!
