Wednesday 23rd December 2009, 11:21AM GMT.
A woman who died when her motorcycle was involved in a collision in Mid Wales has been named.
Julia Wiles, 46, from Llanerfyl, suffered fatal injuries when her Yamaha motorcycle was involved in a head-on collision with a Renault Laguna.
The accident happened at 7.30am on Friday on the A458 Llanfair Caereinion to Llangadfan road, near Llanerfyl village.
Today the family of Ms Wiles, who was engaged to be married, paid tribute to her.
A statement from the family said: “Julia was an irreplaceable loving mother, daughter and sister who has been cruelly taken away from her family and loving fiance.
“She will always be loved and dearly missed.”
The driver of the Laguna, a 54-year-old man from the Birmingham area, sustained minor injuries.
Police say he was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Inspector Stuart Eckley, from Llandrindod Wells Police Station, said: “We would ask any witnesses to this tragic collision to contact us on 101.”
