“We are so proud of him and everybody has been saying well done to him. He is really pleased to have helped his favourite football club help children less fortunate than him.”

Mrs Davies said it all began when Cameron was reading an article with his dad on the Shrewsbury Town website stating the club would be taking gifts to hospitals in the county.

She said: “He began getting quite emotional when he realised that not all children were as fortunate as him and he started to talk about ways of how he could help the children who would not be able to be at home with their families this Christmas, who may be in pain and who maybe will not receive any gifts at all.

“He then decided that he would help the team out by doing his bit to recruit as many presents as possible so that as many children as possible have a merry Christmas.

“We took the presents to Shrewsbury Town and they wrapped them all up nice ready to take to the hospitals.”
