Shrewsbury Town’s fans failed to get any Christmas cheer at Rochdale after seeing their team defeated 4-0.
Manager Paul Simpson didn’t mince his words after the game, calling the team’s performance “poor” and “hard to watch for anyone connected with the football club”.
He added: “It was an absolute rubbish performance and for me they have let me down.”
Rochdale scored twice in the first half, in the eight and 38th minutes, and in the second half they found the back of the net in the 53rd and 67th minutes.
