A main road in Shropshire remained shut today as fire crews continued to bring a huge barn blaze nearby under control.

The A528 at Myddle, near Wem, was shut while firefighters brought 230 tonnes of straw and fertiliser out into the open to burn out safely.

Police said there was a diversion via Burlton.
