Meet the Painter family, seen in Merry Lane, Sansaw.
This photo from the Frank Painter Collection comes to us via Shrewsbury transport historian Roy Pilsbury and shows, from left, Frank Painter, and Doris Painter in the sidecar, and then Frank Painter’s mother.
His father John is on the second motorcycle.
The others on the photo are not identified.
Although the photo is undated, it looks to be around 1912 perhaps a motorcycle historian could narrow it down.
