It’s time to mount a charge – Larry

AFC Telford United have been urged to show some consistency as they travel to Corby Town tonight for the first of three consecutive away games.
The Bucks have picked up four points from their last two outings in Blue Square North, and assistant manager Larry Chambers is eager to see them build on that platform.
But Corby have already emerged as promotion contenders since coming up from the Southern League and currently sit in the final play-off place – eight points above the Buck s having played a game more.
Their squad includes former Nottingham Forest forward Jason Lee, while the strike pairing of Leon Mettam and Jack Defty has been prolific, and ex-Kettering midfielder Brett Solkhon is influential.
“We played them last year in the FA Cup and they showed then what a decent side they are,” said Chambers.
“They had a great start to the season. They had a bit of a wobble a month ago, but they’ve come through that now and had a good win on Saturday over Vauxhall Motors.
“We’ve taken four points out of the last six (at home to Alfreton and Fleetwood) so we can go into it with a bit of confidence.
“But we haven’t been great away from home recently and we need to put that right.
“We need to go on a run now and show some consistency in our performances. We’re two unbeaten but we want to keep going.”
Telford are without midfielders Carl Rodgers and Jon Adams, who are both suspended tonight, while loan man Gavin Hurren remains an injury doubt.
One midfielder who could return is Liam Blakeman, while Chambers is hoping left-back Sean Newton may be nearing full fitness once again.
“I don’t think Sean is 100 per cent and the physios would probably like him to have another week off, so we will see,” he added.
