Famous voices add to chorus
Wednesday 9th December 2009, 6:59PM GMT.
Liverpudlian comedian Stan Boardman, snooker legend Dennis Taylor and Wrexham FC manager Dean Saunders have added their voices to a new record which will give Oswestry’s Hope House Hospice a cash boost.
The celebrities attended a Wrexham music studio yesterday to join the chorus for the recording of Dragons On Fire.
The song has been penned by Dai Evison and Ady Burns from North Wales band Midnight Hustle.
It urges people in the area to get behind Wrexham, who currently play in the Blue Square Premier division and attract many fans from both sides of the Shropshire border.
Proceeds from its sale will go to Hope House, based at Morda, near Oswestry, and Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.
Organisers say it will be available in local music stores and major supermarkets.
