Darwin book to fetch £75,000

A rare first edition copy of Shrewsbury-born naturalist Charles Darwin’s book On The Origin Of Species was set to fetch up to £75,000 at an auction in America today.
The book was being auctioned by Christie’s at Rockefella Plaza in New York.
Its sale neatly coincides with the 150th anniversary of the book’s publication in November 1859.
