Friday 4th December 2009, 12:11AM GMT.
Legendary rockers Dr Feelgood are to perform in Shropshire this Christmas.
The 1970s pub rock outfit, who had a top 10 hit single with Milk and Alcohol in 1979, are set to perform near Shrewsbury this month.
The concert takes place at Worthen Village Hall on December 19, which is between Montgomery and Shrewsbury.
The venue has played host in the past to many names including Eddie & The Hot Rods, Lindisfarne and Ian Hunter from Mott the Hoople.
Ian Franklin, event spokesman, said: “After the sell-out show last Christmas, when fans travelled from all over the UK to see them, Dr Feelgood asked if they could return, so local promoters, Stone Circle thought, why not?
“In all the years and all the line-up changes. Dr Feelgood have never wavered from their original ethos, which is simple, hard-driving rock and roll and their devotion to the blues and R&B, which has earned them a loyal fan base the world over.”
Mr Franklin added: “As always there will be a charity raffle and this years nominated cause is in aid of Alzheimer’s Disease.
“If any local businesses or individuals would like to donate a prize to the raffle then please get in touch with the us.”
