Parts of Shropshire and Mid Wales were still at risk of flooding today as the Met Office confirmed November was the wettest on record.

The flood barriers were taken down in Frankwell, Shrewsbury, yesterday but with more rain and hail predicted this week flooding still poses a threat to homes and firms in the county.
The Met Office said last month was the wettest on record with an average of 217.4mm of rain across the UK as parts of Shropshire succumbed to flooding.
Shropshire Star weatherman John Warner said parts of the county recorded rainfall of more than 150mm, which he said was “exceptional” for the time of year.
Mr Warner said there was a possibility that more predicted rainfall could pose further risk of flooding.
“It’s still looking very wet with frequently heavy showers and maybe even hail tomorrow and more rain coming in Friday,” he added.
Frankwell Main Car Park has now partially reopened. The road between Cross Houses and Atcham, Sydney Avenue, Castlefields, the bottom of Severn Street in Bridgnorth and Doctors Lane have been reopened.
But Chilton Farm Lane, Atcham, and Gravel Hill Lane, near the West Mid Showground, the Severnside to Wellmeadow footpath in Bridgnorth and the footpath from Doctors Lane to Severn Park, are still closed.
