Thieves knocked a man unconscious and snatched a Rolex watch worth thousands of pounds from his wrist in a robbery at a Telford business park.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident at Ketley Business Park.
The 26-year-old victim was working alone on the night shift at a premises on the business park in Waterloo Road.
He went outside for a cigarette and noticed two men acting suspiciously at the side of the building.
When he challenged the men he felt a sharp blow to the side of the head and briefly lost consciousness.
Chris Ammonds, of Telford police, said the incident happened between 8.30pm and 9pm last Thursday.
“He thinks there could have been another man lurking out of sight because the blow caught him by surprise.
“When he came round a short time later he realised that his Rolex wristwatch – worth several thousand pounds – had been taken from his left wrist,” he said.
“He called the police immediately before seeking medical attention for the cuts and bruises he had received as a result of this incident,” he added.
One of the attackers is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, stocky build with slicked back black hair.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the whereabouts of the stolen Rolex, should call Telford police on 0300 3333000.
