Man hurt in robbery

Monday 30th November 2009, 11:25AM GMT.

A man was set upon by a group of men who pushed him to the ground and robbed him of a mobile phone and cash in an attack in Bridgnorth.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery at about 11pm on Saturday in which the victim suffered a black eye, a cut lip and bruised ribs.

Detective Constable Lee Holehouse said at least three men were involved in the attack as the man was walking alone along St John Street and into Hospital Street.
