Shropshire golfer Scott Drummond is on course to retain his European Tour card for 2010.
Shrewsbury-born Drummond is four under par after two rounds of the final stage of qualifying school after a pair of 69s over the Stadium and Tour courses at PGA Golf de Catalunya.
That has left him in a tie for 12th position, seven shots behind joint leaders Charlie Ford and Simon Khan.
The 156-strong field will be whittled down to 70 after four rounds, with the top 30 after six rounds securing a place on next season’s European Tour.
