An elderly man had to be rescued by firefighters after his car stalled on a flooded country lane in Shropshire.
The man, believed to be from the Telford area, was taken to hospital after raising the alarm on his mobile phone after his vehicle got stuck in flood water in the Pentre area, south of Oswestry, on Saturday.
Meanwhile, flood barriers have been taken down in Ironbridge but were still up in Shrewsbury as parts of the region remained on flood alert.
