Families out for Christmas lights

Hundreds of people gathered in the Square, Shrewsbury, to see the lights switched on
The Christmas spirit came to Shropshire early with the switching on of festive lights in Shrewsbury and Oswestry.
Families flocked to The Square in Shrewsbury to see Severn Radio DJs and panto stars, including Emmerdale’s Matt Healy, perform the switching-on duties.
And others packed into Festival Square in Oswestry, where schoolchildren sang Christmas carols.
