Paul Simpson blamed a “poor start” for Shrewsbury Town’s 2-1 defeat by Hereford United last night.

Shrewsbury’s Waide Fairhurst scored in the 45th minute, but although Town were more impressive in the second half, they could not find another goal.

Simpson told reporters after the game: “It is disappointing as we have probably done enough to get ourselves back into the game but if you give any team a start like that then they will beat you.”

    is it time to start looking for the next manager? Someone who will get us into the play-offs and then bring in lots of new players the following year which can’t play together. Oh wait…
