Gang sought after woman attacked

A gang of teenage girls are wanted by police after an assault on a 20-year-old woman in Stirchley as she walked home.
The woman was walking home along Grange Avenue just after 8.30pm on Friday when she was approached from behind by four girls.
One of the girls pushed the victim in the back and she was also punched in the face as she turned to face the quartet.
The victim was left with a scratch and bruising to her forehead.
The group fled after a car approached the scene, leaving the woman to make her way home.
Police officers are investigating the incident.
Police spokesman Chris Ammonds said officers had been given descriptions of the attackers.
He added: “We are investigating this incident and have been given a brief description of the four girls that approached the victim. All four girls are described as being white and aged between 14 and 16 and police are keen to hear from anyone who may know any of the members of this group.”
