The findings have transformed knowledge of Shropshire’s past and, in particular, of the prehistoric and Roman periods in the county.

Colin Richards, Historic Environment Manager with Shropshire Council, said: “The current project follows on from a successful trial project in 2007 and 2008 and aims to re-establish an aerial survey of the county after a break in the later 1990s and early part of this decade.”
