Caer Din RIng, west of Clun, taken from air last winter. The picture clearly shows the lines of this defended farm and, to the west, fanning out from the main ring, outlying earthworks.
The findings have transformed knowledge of Shropshire’s past and, in particular, of the prehistoric and Roman periods in the county.
Colin Richards, Historic Environment Manager with Shropshire Council, said: “The current project follows on from a successful trial project in 2007 and 2008 and aims to re-establish an aerial survey of the county after a break in the later 1990s and early part of this decade.”
