Shropshire Council and English Heritage have collaborated on a fascinating new project to chart the changing face of the county from the air. Special report by BEN BENTLEY.

These stunning pictures of Shropshire from the skies offer a fascinating glimpse of the changing face of the county’s historic landscape.

They are the results of efforts by Shropshire Council’s Historic Environment team to complete what it is hoped will be the first year of a three-year aerial archaeology survey of Shropshire.
