Bucks 1 Shrews 2 — Shropshire Senior Cup

Shrewsbury Town won the Shropshire Senior cup with a 2-1 win over AFC Telford United.
Shrewsbury’s Wade Fairhurst took the first goal in the 43rd minute, but this was immediately followed by a Telford counter-attack which ended in a Jon Adams strike a minute later.
The second half began with Telford having the better of the chances but it was Shrewsbury’s Kris Bright who snatched the break-through in the 60th minute.

Well done Bucks – we may have lost the fight, but we certainly weren’t outclassed by a team 2 leagues above us! Even the most diehard Shrewsbury fans must get worried whenever they meet a non-league side nowadays.
