Letter: Desperate to win support

SCOTLAND Election 165407Letter: Is it not amazing to see how, realising the certain defeat of their party in next year’s general election, the blinkered, cheerleaders of New Labour are desperately trying to shore up the flagging support for their party.

They write letters to these pages hoping to influence us in favour of a government which has lied to take us to war, uselessly killing many of our brave soldiers, denied us our promised referendum, practically bankrupted us, while insisting we were better prepared than others to ride out the financial crisis.

They have allowed unfettered immigration, put the rights of offenders before those of the innocent and made a mockery of the law. Their 24-hour drinking has produced a generation of drunks leading to endless anti-social behaviour. The list of failures is endless.

One letter recently referred to the hard work done by the Telford MP and entreated us to make sure he is re-elected.

He, along with his weak- kneed colleagues, has allowed the continuation in power of the worst Chancellor and subsequently Prime Minister in living memory.

I am sure when he is elected next year, Conservative Tom Biggins will work equally as hard, as he will have the example of the current Wrekin MP Mark Pritchard to follow. The difference is he will be supporting a government with the best interests of all the British people in mind.

Although i have lost faith in the labour party due to many many issues I am a realist. If and to be honest when they lose the next ellection people on benefits will lose out, in many cases not a bad thing however any family on less than 25k will be a lot worse off and any one who has worked all their lives and get made redundent at say 50′s will be treated just the same as the long term unemployed who have never worked. Our friends the tory’s will put you all in the same boat it happened in the early 80′s it will happen again .iI INTEND TO LOOK AFTER NUMBER ONE I SUGGEST YOU ALL START DOING THE SAME AND DO NOT EXPECT THE WHAT EVER GUV TO DO IT FOR YOU.

I was ready to vote for Tom Biggins until Cameron renaged on his “cast iron” promise of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. None of the 3 main parties are to be trusted. Whilst Westminster yet harbours a few good men, it is institutionally devoid of integrity, humility and a genuine desire to heed and serve the electorate. It’s a luxurious sheep pen that needs a few wolves thrown in and I shall be voting for anyone, but the Labconlibdem party.
