Flu school to reopen
Sunday 15th November 2009, 3:00PM GMT.
A Shropshire school which was forced to close its doors because more than half of the pupils and staff were absent or displaying flu-like symptoms is set to reopen tomorrow.
Tilstock CofE Primary School, near Whitchurch, was closed this week as more than half of the teaching, support staff and pupils were absent or displaying flu-like symptoms.
The school will re-open tomorrow.
Tim Smith, of Shropshire Council, said: “The decision to close the school was taken to safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils and staff and to restrict the spread of further infection.”
