In-form Whitchurch are chasing a super six wins in a row when they make the trip to Leamington in Midlands 1 West tomorrow.

The Edgeley Park Reds have thrust themselves into the thick of the promotion race with their form in recent weeks.

And they will be eager to carry that on against Warwickshire hosts who will are keen to bounce back after a thumping 68-14 defeat at Dudley Kingswinford last weekend.

Whitchurch themselves won at Dudley last month, though president John Gregory is warning that they should not take that as any guarantee of success tomorrow.

“They’re a side we haven’t played for many years,” he said. “We’re looking forward to it, but I don’t think you can read anything into their result last week.

“We’ve won the last five and I think the key is that we have been able to put out a more settled side.”

The north Shropshire team have one change forced upon them tomorrow, with Robin Le Cocq unavailable – as he is for most away games due to work commitments.

In his absence Jimmy Lloyd steps up to fill the void in the back row.

Telford Hornets travel to Wednesbury in Midlands 3 West (North), with skipper Rob Coventry expecting a tough encounter.

Youngster Kyran Arnel keeps his place after impressing last week, but there are several other changes to the side.

Will Worthington comes into the second row, while an injury to Stuart McClymont means there is a chance for promising North Midlands 18-year-old Aaron Doignie.

North Midlands president Steve Guy will be a guest of honour as league leaders Market Drayton play host to Fiveways Old Edwardians in Midlands 5 West (North) tomorrow (2.15pm).

Drayton are hit by the absence of seven first team squad members, though coach Rob Thomas does have Chris and James Spencer, Gordon Gray and Tom Lavender returning.

Clee Hill will hoping to return home with all the points from their Midlands 5 West (SW) clash away at Birmingham Civil Service.

Birmingham currently prop up the table, having lost five out of five.
