Whitchurch 37 Sutton Coldfield 12
Wednesday 11th November 2009, 7:41AM GMT.

Whitchurch have been urged to keep their bandwagon rolling for the rest of 2009 – and set up a Christmas cracker with current Midlands One leaders Burton.
The Reds continued their fine form with a 37-12 victory over Sutton Coldfield, a result which keeps them fourth in the table.
And officials are now keen for the momentum to be maintained before the clash with current table-toppers Burton on December 19.
“It was another excellent victory and good performance on Saturday,” said club spokesman John Gregory.
“The top three have to play each other yet so somebody will drop points.
“If we can keep winning over the next few weeks, it would put us in a strong position for the Burton game.”
Whitchurch did the bulk of the damage against Sutton Coldfield in the second period after leading 12-0 at half-time, Tom Crank and Robin Le Cocq scoring tries with Danny Nicholas adding one conversion.
Mike Gardiener scored a try directly after half-time to extend the advantage, Nicholas again adding the extras, before the visitors scored a try to make it 19-5.
Two further penalties from Nicholas and tries from Crank and Jimmy Mullock put Whitchurch 37-5 up, before Sutton grabbed a late consolation try.
Whitchurch, meanwhile, have arranged a home North Midlands Cup tie against Malvern for Saturday, November 21.
Oswestry gained a vital victory in South Lancs/Cheshire Division One after overcoming Isle of Man outfit Vagabonds 17-6.
Nick Carlton and Rob Massam both scored tries which were converted by Andy Howell, who also kicked a penalty.
