Petition to slow traffic

Wednesday 11th November 2009, 10:12AM GMT.

A petition is to be launched calling for traffic calming measures in a north Shropshire village where part of a house was demolished when it was hit by machinery, which fell from a lorry.

Part of Sycamore House, Welshampton, was demolished in August when it was hit.

Carole Warner, Welshampton and Lyneal Parish Council clerk, said: “The council continues to seek as much support for traffic calming measures in Welshampton as possible.

“The council has agreed it will organise a petition in support of the measures.”
