Disley’s comeback hit by injury
Wednesday 11th November 2009, 11:36AM GMT.

Frustrated Craig Disley has seen the stop-start opening to his Shrewsbury Town career suffer a fresh setback.
The summer recruit from Bristol Rovers. brought in to play a key midfield role, has been sidelined for more than two months with a medial knee ligament injury which he suffered at Accrington at the end of August.
And that absence now looks likely to be extended by a further fortnight.
Disley returned to training last week and was originally pencilled in for a reserve team outing at Macclesfield this afternoon.
But those hopes have been dashed, with Disley suffering a fresh problem on the same knee which is likely to keep him out of training for two weeks.
“I just went into tackle in training and the knee got into a funny position,” said the 28-year-old.
“I think even if I hadn’t had the previous injury I would still have been out for a couple of weeks with this one. I’ve just been really unfortunate.
“I was feeling good and looking forward to getting back into it, so to have this setback has been a blow.
“I don’t really feel as though I’ve got started with my Shrewsbury Town career yet so I just want to get out there playing.”
On the positive side, stiker Omer Riza and midfielder Terry Dunfield were due to feature at Moss Rose this afternoon as they take the next step their comeback trail from long-term injury.
Nathan Elder and Kris Bright also have the chance to impress after being placed on the transfer list on Monday.
Meanwhile, Town fans are facing a ticket rush for the local derby with Hereford later this month.
Shrewsbury are usually backed by over 1,500 on their trips to Edgar Street, but just 665 tickets – 233 standing and 432 seats – are available for the November 24 clash.
The restrictions are due to the closure of the Blackfriars Terrace.
Some 300 tickets remained this morning, and they are on sale to season ticket holders and Sovereign Club members until Friday on a first come first served basis and limited to one ticket per person.
