Video: Today Germany marked the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall with a series of events and visits from diplomats.
CELEBRATIONS, remembrances and joyful exuberance enveloped Germany today, the 20th anniversary of the night the Berlin Wall came down, a momentous event that helped transform Europe and signalled the beginning of the end of communism in Europe.
Led by Chancellor Angela Merkel and featuring a panoply of European, US and Russian leaders – current and former – Germany and its citizens were set to celebrate the historical watershed with concerts by Bon Jovi and Beethoven.

I´m currently in the former East Germany whilst there are some memorial concerts for the wall, the 9th November is also the aniversary of the Night of Broken Glass, 71 years ago, and that is equally being commemorated. Its a pity that isn´t being covered equally by the UK media.

It was fantastic to see communism in Europe being crushed.
Communism is the most evil and murderous ideology in history. It is estimated that 100 million people were murdered in it’s name last century. – Yet we still hear neo-marxists in the far left, Green Party, ect singing it’s praises.
