Crews called to blaze at house
Monday 9th November 2009, 11:48AM GMT.
Damage was caused to a house in north Shropshire after a fire broke out in a bedroom.
Three crews were sent to tackle the blaze in Church Close, Shawbury, yesterday afternoon.
It started in a first floor bedroom, which is believed to have suffered substantial damage. The rest of the floor was left with heat and smoke damage.
The occupants managed to get out of the property by the time the fire service arrived and nobody needed to be rescued from the building.
Crews wearing breathing equipment used a hose reel jet and one main jet to battle the fire. The incident was reported just before 2.45pm and was dealt with in about 25 minutes.
