Relight your fire with Take That musical

Thursday 5th November 2009, 9:37AM GMT.

The re-emergence of Take That has been one of the biggest music stories of the past five years. Tickets for their concerts routinely sell out in minutes, meaning many fans do not get a chance to see them live.

Thankfully, a production called Never Forget, which pays tribute to Take That, takes fans on a musical journey with Gary & co. It features the incredible back catalogue of Britain’s favourite boy band and will run at The Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, from November 24-28.

Vicky Price, spokeswoman for The Grand, said it would star Philip Olivier as the star, Dirty Harry.

She said: “Featuring the incredible catalogue of songs by Britain’s favourite pop group Take That, Never Forget, is a feel-good romantic comedy that follows the story of five men who enter a local talent competition, each looking for a way out and a step up.  Along the journey they discover fame comes at a price but friendships last forever.

“Philip Olivier played the popular role of Tim O’Leary in Channel 4′s Brookside for seven years. His other TV credits include guest roles in Holby City, The Royal and Hollyoaks In The City.  He most recently won the reality TV series The Games and was also runner up in the hit TV show Celebrity Come Dine With Me.”

The company also include Aimee Atkinson as Chloe Turner, Adam C. Booth as Jake Turner, Tom Bradley as Adrian Banks, Scott Garnham as Jose Reize, Teddy Kempner as Ron Freeman, Kay Murphy as Annie Borrowman, Mark Willshire as Ash Sherwood and Penelope Woodman as Babs.

The show includes a cast of 21 actors/singers/dancers, a live band and a 20 strong children’s chorus drawn from Dance2gether, in Wolverhampton. Spectacular special effects keep the action pumping with the largest rain curtain ever created for the stage as well as magical water animation.

The show is packed with the classic Take That songs, including the smash hits A Million Love Songs, Could It Be Magic, It Only Takes A Minute, Do What You Like, Love Ain’t Here Anymore, Relight My Fire, Pray, Back For Good, Babe and Never Forget.

The production is following in the footsteps of recent British musical success stories such as Mamma Mia, with worldwide presentations currently under discussion in Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Austria, Australia, Korea and Japan.

Tickets cost from £11.50 – £31.50 and to book online visit www.grandtheatre.co.uk  or telephone 01902 429212.
