Dancer Sleep in Cabaret

Wayne Sleep, who once famously danced with Diana, Princess of Wales, will take to the stage in Shrewsbury tonight for the first performance of the hit musical Cabaret.
The show is being performed at Theatre Severn until Saturday.
Since its Broadway premiere in 1966 and the movie version with Liza Minnelli, Michael York and Joel Grey, Cabaret has won a staggering number of stage and screen awards including eight Oscars, seven BAFTAs and 13 Tonys.
Sleep is remembered for dancing with Diana at the Royal Gala Performance at Covent Garden in 1985.
Tonight’s performance will begin at 7.30pm.
The show, featuring show-stopping choreography and dazzling costumes, offers some of the most famous songs in musical theatre including Mein Herr, Maybe This Time and of course Cabaret.
