Bid to salvage damaged art

Wednesday 28th October 2009, 11:10AM GMT.

A sculpture destroyed by a 14-tonne lorry was being carefully removed from a roundabout in Telford today.

The memorial to Telford’s miners has stood on the Granville Roundabout in Donnington for the last 12 years.

It  was being removed piece by piece this morning to be taken a specialist workshop in Ironbridge.
