Region enjoying warmer weather

Shropshire and Mid Wales is to enjoy a brief Indian summer, thanks to an extended blast of tropical air coming in from the south.
Parts of England and Wales are expected to reach at least 20C over the coming days — five degrees above average.
Central heating systems, turned on earlier this month, are being switched off and the warm weather is good news for parents who have youngsters on half term this week.
Shropshire weatherman John Warner said: “It looks like being warm for the remainder of the month with sunshine intermittently and some drizzly rain.
“Some would describe it as an Indian summer.”
But Mr Warner warned: “Next week will be much more unsettled with heavy rain and strong winds.”
The unseasonal weather will make the week one of the warmest for late October on record.
