Parsonage eager for county role
Thursday 22nd October 2009, 2:06PM BST.
Simon Parsonage wants to carrying on playing for national bowls champions Shropshire next year – but it won’t be under the auspices of Castlefields.
The Ludlow-based star, man of the match at Meole Brace as Shropshire beat Yorkshire in the Crosfield Cup final, has decided to leave Shrewsbury’s Furrows Shropshire Premier League champions.
“I definitely want to carry on playing for the county,” said Parsonage, who had considered retiring from the county championship scene before September’s triumph.
