Designer clothing is stolen
Tuesday 20th October 2009, 10:58AM BST.
Hundreds of pounds worth of designer clothing has been stolen during an early morning raid at a north Shropshire store.
A haul of more than 250 items, including Henry Lloyd and Henley jumpers and shirts, was stolen from Apparel in Green End, Whitchurch.
Police say two masked offenders wearing dark clothing broke into the store in the early hours of yesterday.
The men pulled up outside in a dark-coloured vehicle, possibly a Vauxhall Astra or similar model, and broke in between 3.05am and 3.15am.
CCTV from the area is being examined by officers and police are keen to hear from anybody who might have seen or heard anything which could be connected.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered designer clothing for sale.
Maria Hawkaluk, police spokeswoman, said: “They stole more than 250 items of clothing before driving off along Green End and turning into The Bullring.
“Officers attended and carried out a search but the offenders were not found.”
