AFC Telford 0 Southport 2
Saturday 17th October 2009, 6:16PM BST.
AFC Telford United slipped to a third home defeat of the season as they were sunk by two goals in five minutes.
Southport took the lead on 18 minutes, Chris Simm firing past keeper Ryan Young from the corner of the six-yard box.
They were two up on 23 when Ciaran Kilheeney converted from the penalty spot after Telford skipper Stuart Whitehead had been ruled to have brought down Simm.
The winning margin could have been greater as well, Kilheeney having a second penalty saved by Young on 74 minutes after Lee Vaughan also brought down Simm.
