Comedy workshops with a Darwin theme

Beagle - MISSING INcA troupe of Shropshire comedians will  be taking a humourous look at Charles Darwin’s voyage aboard HMS Beagle this weekend – and helping other funny people along the way.

Shrewsbury’s The Missing, Inc will lead a comedy workshop in The Hive Music and Media Centre in Belmont, Shrewsbury, this Saturday afternoon (October 17), before a performance of their new show The Beagle has Landed at 7pm.

“This comedy workshop is open to all,” said Missing, Inc. producer Ben Hawkes. “This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the mechanics of comedy, including how to write jokes and develop comic timing.

“Guided by professional performers from the Missing, Inc., participants will develop confidence and skills in both writing and performance.

“The Missing, Inc.’s highly rated workshops are perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to make people laugh. This is an exciting opportunity to take advantage of the expertise of veteran industry professionals over the course of a highly enjoyable afternoon.”

Ben added: “The performance of ‘The Beagle Has Landed’ promises hilarity and a great evening out.”

The comedy workshop will take place from 1-5pm and will cost £5 per person.

The performance of The Beagle has Landed will take place at 7pm. Tickets are £6 children and £8 adults.
