Crews at hay blaze

Friday 9th October 2009, 11:28AM BST.

Thousands of pounds of damage was caused when more than 300 tonnes of hay caught fire at a farm near Bridgnorth.

Firefighters spent more than an hour at Little London Farm, Alveley, just after 11pm yesterday.

A fire service spokeswoman said there were no suspicious circumstances. Police are awaiting a report before deciding whether to investigate. Firefighters fr- om Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Bewdley, Craven Arms and Shrewsbury attended.
