Another bite of the Cherry

Thursday 8th October 2009, 7:07AM BST.

Black Stone CherryFans of rising Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry can catch up with them yet again this weekend as they return to the West Midlands for the third time in just five months.

The band, Chris Robertson, Ben Wells, Jon Lawhon and John Fred Young, will be appearing at Birmingham 02 Academy on Saturday, October 10. Tickets are £15 plus booking fees.

Black Stone Cherry opened for Nickelback at the NIA in May and packed out JB’s in Dudley when they scheduled a stop-gap appearance there in June.

Their busy 2009 also saw them put on a storming performance at Download Festival in Donington.

Black Stone Cherry are touring to promote their second album, Folklore and Superstition, which includes the singles Blind Man, Please Come In, Things My Father Said and Soulcreek.

Support at Birmingham comes from Loaded, featuring ex-Guns ‘n’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, as well as New Jersey rockers The Parlour Mob.
