Event to kick off with talk by cleric

Wellington Literary Festival kicks off tomorrow night with a talk by the former Bishop of Rochester on his latest book.

Tickets are still available for the lecture by Dr Michael Nazir-Ali and people can buy them on the door at the event which starts at 7pm at Wrekin College.

It is the 13th annual literary festival held by Wellington Town Council and lasts until October 29.

A handful of the events are already sold out: Professor Stephen Jones, a broadcaster and a writer of popular science on Monday; Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy on October 16 and Bruce Kent on Time To Abolish War on October 22.
