We’re no one-man team, warn Burway
Wednesday 30th September 2009, 10:17AM BST.
We’re not a one man team – that’s the Burway message to Hadley USC ahead of tonight’s bowls clash of the champions.
The winners at Telepost (7pm) will earn at crack at Furrows Shropshire Premier League wooden spoonists Childs Ercall in Friday’s crunch promotion/relegation play-off.
Double champions Burway (see page 35) and Worthington Mid Shropshire League winners Hadley have both beaten Prees in their pre play-off openers.
But Hadley have been warned not to concentrate on just nullifying Burway’s county man Wayne Rogers tonight.
“Wayne is a very important player for us and everybody knows about him as he plays for Shropshire. But we have got five or six other players who are not far behind him,” said Burway’s Ludlow League team skipper Russell Davies.
Hadley skipper Phil King calls up Richard Dandy tonight.
