Three set for concert in county
Monday 28th September 2009, 9:45AM BST.
Shrewsbury Jazz Network is due to host a concert featuring a musician who began playing the piano at the age of three.
Alcyona Mick went on to study at the Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal Academy of Music with Liam Noble and Pete Saberton.
She writes all original material for her Blink’ trio, which is co-led by French saxophonist and clarinettist Robin Fincker, with Paul Clarvis completing the group on drums.
She said: “I am really looking forward to coming to Shrewsbury for this performance and hope people will enjoy my music.”
The event is due to take place on October 10 at The Hive in Belmont.
Admission at the door costs £10 (£8 members), and under 16s go free. Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 8pm.
